time was taken to explain procedures and approximate times ,have been in patient twice here and have always received excellent care,staff a bit stretched at times but always polite and helpful.

I always look forward to my appointments with Dr Hugh Jones, because he is such a jolly happy doctor. I've been seeing him since about 1999 and I consider him to be a friend now. He always listens to my concerns about medications and always does what is best for me.

Dr Winrow is an amazing Dr and is truly caring. Dr Winrow listens to our concerns and always takes them on board. I feel that my son could not be in safer hands.

Went on to the children's ward, with my child re diabetes type 1, and was met by a gentleman of the name Gareth, I could not commend the nurse enough, absolute brilliant bed manor and timely, gentle and reassuring at the same time. All nurses were extremely supportive and approachable. I have had a number of visits to many hospitals and this admittance was exactly how I visualise a hospital visit should be. So many thanks.

I was really impressed by the hospital - yes to the level of service, professionalism and care. But also in the little things. I accidentally dropped one of our scan photos from my file (never realised) until I received it in the post from the hospital saying that I must have dropped it on my recent visit. This small act really tells me that the staff are going above and beyond. The only negative I would say about the hospital is the food. I was at the hospital during pregnancy for three nights and found the food to have no nutritional value at all. My iron levels were being tested everyday...on the first night my iron was absolutely fine...when I left I was advised that it was too low. Can that actually happen in that short a time? Naturally I was administered pills for this (for which I didn't take) I just went home and ate my normal nutrient rich diet and my levels were back up to normal. To the point that my local doctor was surprised it 'bounced back' so quickly. I find it ironic that you go into hospital for something totally unrelated and later get prescribed pills for something that has occurred due to the hospital food. Isn't this the place where the food is paramount to care? Wouldn't providing patients with fresh nutritional food actually get people better faster. OR is it easier and cheaper just to prescribe a pill to fix the problem?

This is a great hospital. The doctors and nurses are very professional. I would also like to praise the 'helpers' who offer guidance and advice to visitors.
